Where Your Child Receives the Tools They Need to Learn
Our Process
-
Your Child is Not a Test Score
Comprehensive evaluations including speech, phonological processing, language, visual imagery processing of symbols, math and executive functions are performed to determine a child’s areas of need. The evaluations include empirical observation along with standardized assessment. Your child is not a test score, and should never be viewed as such. As a result, observation, parent/caregiver/teacher feedback and standardized assessment are integrated to create a cohesive learning profile of your child. Our unique comprehensive learning assessments dig deep into each cognitive processing area allowing us to determine the location and level of processing breakdown. We get to the root of the problem.
-
Family Education is Key to a Child's Success
Following the evaluation, detailed consultations are provided for families to discuss the assessment, the child’s strengths and areas of need, and treatment recommendations. The goal of these consultations is to ensure each family’s understanding of their child’s learning needs.

Meeting the Whole Child Where They Are
At Seeds of Learning, we are trained Speech-Language Pathologists providing speech and language therapy and a variety of educational supports. Integrated cognitive treatment is offered for a wide range of disorders and delays. Based on an integrated cognitive processing model, a treatment plan is specifically designed for each student. As no processing functions in isolation, therapy typically integrates multiple cognitive processes together; addressing the big learning picture as well as the individual cognitive components of need.
Creating an emotionally safe, positive, and structured therapy environment for our children who struggle with learning is paramount to Seeds of Learning's successful therapy.
