Being a part of Tera's community has been far and away the most impactful continuing education opportunity I have ever experienced. She strikes the perfect balance between foundational theory and immediately actionable assessment and therapy techniques. Learning in this community has made me an exponentially more effective therapist in a short amount of time.

I have learned more in these past few months of membership in the community than I have learned in the 15 years of searching for the appropriate therapy for my child. It has been my Eureka moment - "I found it!" I've learned how important EF is to speech, especially pragmatics, scaffolding his therapy, and the importance of child-centered planning. It's been life-altering therapy for my son and myself.

I just joined [Seeds of Learning] a couple months ago so still working my way through it all! And I've got to tell you, it really is GREAT! It's the first thing in a while that's really excited me about the field!

I've never been so captivated, empowered, impassioned, validated, or energized by any other single training in my career. I can not recommend Tera's community, resources, or trainings enough.

With joining Tera's community, I am learning how to find the root cause of a student's developmental needs, providing instant interventions right in the classroom that work, and most importantly, I am supported by tera and her community of learners every step of the way. This community has changed my approach to helping young students and supporting their parents in immeasurable ways.
Jessica Steffes, 1st Grade Teacher

I have to tell you again, this community is freaking brilliant! It is exactly what I have been looking for since I started practicing. I always said SLPs should have a way to connect, share and reflect in a useful manner. I have found more use in the couple hours I've spent in your community than any CEU I have ever taken. Thank you again and again.

I just want to say, you have no idea the impact that you've created in me as a therapist. I literally binge watch office hours instead of Netflix. This platform seems like such a magic portal of sorts ! Thank you ever so much. I think you've really taken so much effort to make complex concepts easily understandable and accessible for the community. When I've had some of these conversations with parents, they've also had aha moments about their own EF journey and I love how those connections just help them see their kids with so much more compassion and connection. It's truly been such a great entry point to move away from the problem behaviour.

Joining the Seeds of Learning Community was one of the best career decisions I have made. I have a parent of a 3 year old client with ASD who informed me that I do therapy differently from other SLPs. She said, “my son has improved so much with you. It is as though you have unlocked his brain.” I credit this to Tera Sumpter’s executive function strategies. I have learned so much ever since I joined this community. I have been applying Tera’s techniques with my students. I am no longer putting a bandaid on the problem; instead I am targeting the root cause of the problem. I’ll forever be grateful to Tera and this amazing community. I will be a lifetime member for sure.
Marizel Porcalla
“Just wanted to take time to express my sincerest gratitude for all that you do and the amazing community that you have created. Using your cognitive model has changed the way I think when analyzing evaluations as well as how I approach speech therapy. It’s the missing piece to the puzzle I have long been searching for.
It took a bit of practice but I love reflexive questioning and it truly is a game changer. When you explained during an office hour that your therapy office is a magical place where the kid is always right (how beautiful is that!) I knew this was something I needed to master. I’ve made it my mission to teach as many of the teachers and paraeducators as possible.
This job is not for the faint of heart and being a part of your community has reinvigorated my love of being an SLP. It can be lonely being the only one of your kind and difficult to not have anyone to bounce ideas off of. The community fulfills all those needs and more. As a lifelong learner who will gladly follow you down any rabbit hole, I just want to pass along my thanks.
— Kaitlyn Smith, SLP
“ ‘Once you learn about executive function you will never be able to unsee it.’ This is so true. I am extremely grateful to Tera and the incredible Seeds of Learning Community. I have been working for a LONG time/too many years, and joined the community about 7 months ago.
After delving into EF with Tera, I really wish I could go back in time and apply what I have learned to students I worked with in the past. Time travel to the past would be perfect.
You will not regret joining this community, in fact, it just may be the game changer you are seeking. Don’t give the sign up a second thought, just do it.”

Hands-down one of the best opportunities I have invested in!
Hands-down one of the best opportunities I have invested in! The knowledge Tera shares has transformed how I view and meet my clients needs! If you are a pediatric therapist this IS the learning group for you!

The Seeds of Learning cohort provides a transformational framework.
The Seeds of Learning cohort provides a transformational framework to re-evaluate our our clients from the most foundational, while equipping us with principles and tools to strengthen their skills from the bottom up.

Learning amongst a peer group led by Tera Sumpter was a game-changer and took my learning experience to the next level.
Being in the Seeds of Learning cohort was one of the best decisions I could have made to really master the basics of how to assess and treat executive functioning! Learning amongst a peer group led by Tera Sumpter was a game-changer and took my learning experience to the next level.

I have seen a positive shift in my students’ awareness during therapy sessions, it’s amazing.
Thank you so much for the winter cohort. I learned so much from you, and I know I barely scratched the surface. I have noticed since participating in the cohort, my mindset has shifted in terms of language development and learning in general. I’m just getting started with reflexive questioning, but I have seen a positive shift in my students’ awareness during therapy sessions, it’s amazing. I see my 5th graders actually attempt a plan to tackle a task independently rather than wait for someone to do it for them.
Brooke Rowan, SLP
Your cohort is breathing new life into this old SLP of 30 years.
Your cohort is breathing new life into this old SLP of 30 years. Finally, finally I can feel confident that I’m working on the root cause before working on higher level stuff. When we spin our wheels and wonder why we aren’t carrying over skills we see in our isolated small group sessions or if they are constantly in trouble and the teachers are throwing rewards at them as an incentive and its not working, we address EF, not the symptom??!! Thank you!!!!!! Transformative.
Jenny H., SLP
This cohort has not only changed my approach to teaching but it has a profound impact on the lives of my students.
I have been privileged to be part of Tera Sumpter’s cohort on executive function for over 3 years now, and the transformation I have witnessed in my students is truly remarkable. By applying the knowledge and techniques I learned in this program, I have seen my students flourish in ways I never thought possible. Tera Sumpter’s expertise and guidance have been instrumental in helping me support my students in overcoming executive function challenges and reaching their full potential. This cohort has not only changed my approach to teaching but it has a profound impact on the lives of my students.

I am so overwhelmed with joy because this was and is the missing piece for me in speech therapy!!
I just wanted to send you a personal message and thank you for creating this amazing portal and all the resources! I am working at a very high-need school and a lot of the kids struggle with executive functioning skills. I have a student that had major speech concerns, but I noted they had difficulties with attention, focus, and inhibition. In speech MTSS, we have been targeting the executive functioning difficulties for about 2-3 months and 5-6 different sounds have corrected themselves without targeting them. I am so overwhelmed with joy because this was and is the missing piece for me in speech therapy!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Mikayla Plemmons, SLP
It exceeded my (very high) expectations! Everyday I use one of Tera's techniques either directly or indirectly to help my kids.
I'm an SLP but I joined the Summer Cohort as a mom. It exceeded my (very high) expectations! Everyday I use one of Tera's techniques either directly or indirectly to help my kids. "Thank you" doesn't even begin to cut it!

This is the missing piece I’ve been searching for. I’ve taken other continuing ed courses that focused on specific populations, but this information will help 100% of my caseload and myself!
I have worked in a high school for almost 10 years, and this is the missing piece I’ve been searching for. I’ve taken other continuing ed courses that focused on specific populations, but this information will help 100% of my caseload and myself! This course gave me practical and specific therapy ideas that could be implemented immediately. It also improved my assessment skills, gave me a greater insight into why my students are struggling, and provided me with the language to explain this to the IEP team and parents. I can already see some of my kids thinking in a different way!
Kelly Morse, CCC-SLP
This information has opened my eyes to the reason one of my kiddos, in particular, struggles with "normal life" (diagnosed ADHD).
This information has opened my eyes to the reason one of my kiddos, in particular, struggles with "normal life" (diagnosed ADHD). It has given me tools in my toolbelt to help her gain some support and strategies to continue to help her be successful and grow towards that independence that we want for all kiddos! It has also given me some idea/strategies to use with my other kiddo (neurotypical) as she gets into higher grade levels that require a lot more executive function. Instead of just "throwing her into the deep end and hoping she swims", I actually have some tools that can scaffold growing those necessary EF skills. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and providing me with some practical things I can do each and every day!

It is one of the best decisions I’ve made.
I joined the membership last night and it is one of the best decisions I’ve made. Thank you for creating such a positive learning environment and for showing providers that there is a better way. I’ve only just got started but have already gained so much.
Diandra Baniabbasi, Speech + Communication Skills Coach
I'm learning so much!!
This is such a gold mine of information that I have found no where else!! Thank you for putting this together.

THIS IS HUGE and I will be taking it with me for life. My time spent watching your videos, reading the material, and creating a binder to use in therapy sessions is the BEST MONEY I EVER SPENT!
This has been the most useful class I have ever completed! I mean that sincerely!! I am a licensed social worker in Pennsylvania, employed as a school-based counselor and have hot so many roadblocks with the students assigned to me (K-5). I KNEW I was missing something about their “foundations”that was making it difficult to move through behaviors and choices. Who knew reflexive questioning was the answer??? THIS IS HUGE and I will be taking it with me for life. My time spent watching your videos, reading the material, and creating a binder to use in therapy sessions is the BEST MONEY I EVER SPENT! You are on to an idea that should/will change how we teach children. The information is useful to all who are interested in changing their approach when interacting with people. Thank you so much!
Lori C., Social Worker
I wish I had learned this is grad school 18 years ago!
Very excited for Working Memory week. This is the third time I will be doing the cohort, and this week always makes my brain explode. It helps me make so much sense of how to work with language goals. I wish I had learned this is grad school 18 years ago!

I can’t believe the quality in this 2 hour session. This session alone was worth the monthly membership fee.
I just finished listening to your office hour on working memory… it was amazing. I can’t believe the quality in this 2 hour session. This session alone was worth the monthly membership fee. It is great that I can go back and visit this session. Your information and recommendation of resources is invaluable. It is great that I can go back and listen to the session over and over.

I honestly believe that this course should be required for all educators and specialists.
This course was absolutely top notch. I was able to use content immediately into my practice. Being able to ask questions and share experiences and receive feedback is the best form of learning. I have recommended this course to my multidisciplinary team as well as other colleagues and friends. The information is critical and a huge missing link in our graduate education. To show how the EF system is integral in speech and language challenged my view on social language assessment and intervention as well as my role in serving students with executive functioning challenges. I honestly believe that this course should be required for all educators and specialists. Thank you so much for sharing your passion and investment with this community.

The Seeds of Learning Community has been a game changer for me as a homeschool mom and bilingual SLP.
The Seeds of Learning Community has been a game changer for me as a homeschool mom and bilingual SLP. Tera shares her brilliant framework and therapy strategies so we can identify and work with the real needs of our students. Her book and the Seeds of Learning Community give us (parents and specialists) the information we need to learn, understand and help our students. Forever grateful.
María Quiñones, MS CCC-SLP
I wanted to let you know that your work has seriously changed my whole perspective on how we can make better assessment and treatment decisions in our field.
I wanted to let you know that your work has seriously changed my whole perspective on how we can make better assessment and treatment decisions in our field. I stumbled upon your learning community when I was really burnt out and frustrated with the field and your work has really helped me get out of that burn out. I know I say it a lot, but seriously thanks a ton.

WOW! Just WOW! I'm so in love with all of the information and insight!
WOW! Just WOW! I'm so in love with all of the information and insight! I logged in for the first time the day before the cohort began... I’m a little overwhelmed with so many PHENOMENAL resources, but I'm ecstatic! It all makes so much sense! So grateful to find this community and excited to continue to learn as much as I can to support all of those who depend on me for support!

I have learned so much more in the one year studying in your community than I had in all my work before.
I have studied executive functioning for 4 years before I found your book. I have learned so much more in the one year studying in your community than I had in all my work before. Literally life changing for me!

Thank you for renewing my interest and love for our field the last two years!
Thank you for renewing my interest and love for our field over the past two years! I joined the network in August 2021, and I have paid out of pocket for it since then. It has helped me see the big picture when working with our students instead of looking through the tiny lens that we were taught in graduate school. My students are making great gains and I have felt more confident as a clinician.
Taylor Engler, SLP
Your work is changing everything for me.
I participated in the Fall cohort and I keep coming back to the lessons and videos and it just feels like my brain is exploding in the best way! I’ve shared this with you before, but thank you! Your work is changing everything for me and my therapy with kids and young adults and even adult adults. Working memory has taken the longest for me to wrap my brain around but I’m getting it and it feels exciting!
Mary Hadley, SLP
I have implemented some of your ideas and "language" with my kids and am already seeing positive things happening.
I have been working my way through the self study practicum and listening to your office hours on and off for about a month. I have implemented some of your ideas and "language" with my kids and am already seeing positive things happening. I am sharing this so you hear from a (very) seasoned therapist how beneficial your content is and how your teaching style makes it really easy to implement!

Joining Tera’s Mighty Network and reading her book, has been the best investment I have made in myself, both as a mom and as a clinician.
Joining Tera’s Mighty Network and reading her book, has been the best investment I have made in myself, both as a mom and as a clinician. I have been an SLP for 10 years and this has transformed the way I conduct evaluations, write/report goals, and run my therapy sessions. It has changed the way I see my students and how I am able to meet their needs, I can now meet them where they are, which is what I thought I had been doing for years. This school year has been especially challenging, but joining Tera’s Mighty Network has gotten me through it with a new set of skills to bring to the table. Using visualization, planning and navigating reflexive questioning have all been game changers in my therapy room. The group of people on the zooms are truly amazing. I’ve only been able to attend a couple live zooms, but I watch all the replays and feel like I know this remarkable group of SLPs, teachers, psychologist and moms! Having so many different backgrounds in one place to share ideas and learning in a no-judgment environment is priceless. I truly love being a part of this community!
Megan Eide, MS, CCC-SLP
Joining Tera’s EF community is a practice-changing investment.
Joining Tera’s EF community is a practice-changing investment. I now see all of my students’ language difficulties from a completely new lens. Instead of treating needs at the surface level, I now feel confident that I’m treating the root of the problem and making real change. Because, I’ve now realized that executive function deficits are almost always the root.
Katja Piscitelli, SLP
It is absolutely one of the best learning and professional development hours I’ve ever completed.
I would invest in her online community. I’m an SLP and not paid to say this. It is absolutely one of the best learning and professional development hours I’ve ever completed. Such a comprehensive investment in my own learning and therapeutic practice is invaluable and definitely worth the cost!
Laura, SLP
Just wanted you to know how much your work matters to so many people.
I love this community sooooo much. Not sure if I should work on “relaxing” like my husband tells me buuut I’d rather listen to an office hour then do many other things in life. Just wanted you to know how much your work matters to so many people.
The community within Seeds of Learning is amazing!
The community within Seeds of Learning is amazing! I have appreciated all of the resources, office hours, and content that Tera has created. What makes this place special to me is being able to ask and interact with other professionals. It is truly a place for group learning and discussion without judgement.

I recommend Tera’s educational community for every parent, therapist and teacher!
Recomiendo pertenecer a la comunidad educativa de Tera a todos los familiars, especialistsa, y maestros. Es importante conocer la raiz de las necesidades de nuestros estudiantes. / I recommend Tera’s educational community for every parent, therapist and teacher! Your mighty networks platform, courses, book and resources are giving such depth AND scope to the work I am doing in a private practice setting.
Thank you so much for the work you are doing Tera. I am only 1 year in SLP, but your mighty networks platform, courses, book and resources are giving such depth AND scope to the work I am doing in a private practice setting. The way you lay things out really helps me understand the underpinnings behind the clinical presentation. I have big dreams of starting my own practice one day and seeing what you have created is an amazing example of what is possible when you deeply believe in your work. So excited to keep learning from you!
